About the event
Drawing inspiration from calisthenics, locomotion, Yoga asana and Capoeira, we will be exploring the creative interplay between form and function.

Note: It is important to acknowledge that both Yoga and Capoeira are complete cultural disciplines in their own right, and involve much more than just physical postures, movement and interaction.
The Yoga tradition can be traced back over approximately 2,500 years ago to Northern India, where it was first developed by the Rishis (Sages) and documented in the Upanishads, as a means for achieving physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. The original teachings and practice of Yoga can still be found within the Tantric, Hindu and Buddhist cultures of Asia.
